Happy Traum began playing guitar and 5-string banjo as a teenager, and was an active participant of the legendary Greenwich Village folk scene of the 1950s and ‘60s. Since then he has performed extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, and Japan, both as a soloist and as a member of various groups. His avid interest in traditional and contemporary music has brought him recognition as a performer, writer, editor, session musician, folklorist, teacher, and recording artist. Read more about Happy at http://happytraum.com.

Perhaps Happy's most important and lasting musical contribution has been Homespun Tapes, which he and his wife Jane founded in 1967. This dynamic and growing company has a catalog of more than 500 music lessons on DVD, videotape and CD, and their products are sold around the globe. Taught by top professional performing musicians, the lessons cover a wide variety of instruments and musical styles. Happy produces all of the lessons, and brings to Homespun over 40 years of experience as a guitarist, performer, writer, teacher, and popular member of the music community.

This week we are featuring one of his music videos, “Trouble in Mind”, as our free download. Get it here.

MudBrick Media TV Shows

David Chastang put on a really good show last night on The Java 5 Concert Series. We really like featuring talented singer/songwriters from the Mobile, AL area. This week we’re going country with “CrossCountry the Band”. Patriotic and inspirational songs, with a country-rock sound.

Saturday night on M2B we got to see more of the rock band, “Before Nine”. Friday night, lead singer David Merriam was at Art Walk in downtown Mobile, AL. Joining him were Jimmy Lee and Adam Taylor, two more amazing artists we work with. These talented artists were working hard, signing autographs and promoting their music videos. If you weren’t there and would like to purchase them, go to http://www.mudbrickmusicvideos.com.

Stay tuned for more great productions from MudBrick Media.

MudBrick Media News

Our buddy, Kraig Kenning, gave us another night to remember on Friday. This is the second time he’s performed in Java 5 and it probably won’t be the last. Monday we will be in the studio all day recording several of his songs for new music videos for you to purchase and enjoy.

On another note, several artists we’ve produced music videos for are attending and performing this week at the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. You can find schedules at http://fbisf.com. Our artist friends performing there are: Rhonda Hart (whom we owe a debt of gratitude for believing in us and introducing us to so many wonderful people), Kim Carson, Chuck Howard, Cass Hunter, Elaine Petty, Rick Whaley and Lisa Zanghi. Go watch them live and buy some music videos, too.

And, if you haven’t purchased “Deepwater Horizon” by Adam Taylor, do so now. $1 for each music video purchase will be donated to causes helping to preserve and restore our coastal regions. The National Audubon Society is one of the organizations we’ve selected to receive donations.

Please vote in our PLAYIN' FAVORITES $5000 Music Video Vote Contest. The contest will take place on the MudBrick Music Video web site, MudbrickMusicVideos.com -- where each voter will register, view videos, and cast their vote. The video receiving the most votes will win $1 per vote for the performing artist (up to a maximum of $5000).

We at Mudbrick Music Videos are constantly working to find effective ways to market our artists and their music videos. By the use of our Mudbrick Music Videos website, myspace.com and youtube.com pages, providing our artists with iPods and newly developed thumb drives with their preloaded music videos and interview footage and "promo cards" with their own display stand, we are working hard to make a difference.
